Drivetrain Design and Development
Section of Southwest Research Institute |
Since 1990, the transmission test and evaluation
services and capabilities for transmission efficiency and development testing
and evaluation
systems have been aggressively developed at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI).
To date, SwRI has evaluated transmissions ranging in size from 1.6- to 8.0-L engine
applications and produced by manufacturers from around the world. SwRI has developed an extensive database of transmission efficiency data.
